White Widow : A Legend Known Worldwide

Although the exact origin of the strain is shrouded in mystery, we can guarantee that the original White Widow is a Dutch classic and was first grown in the Netherlands.

The original White Widow was created when a landrace Sativa from Brazil was pollinated by an Indica hybrid from South India. Legend has it that WW was the result of years of selection and breeding in the mountains of Kerala to produce resin-rich cannabis plants.

Since it was originally released back in the 1990s, White Widow seeds have been spread around the world, resulting in countless varieties of the original strain. Now most reputable seed banks have a version of WW and RQS is no exception.

At Royal Queen Seeds, our expert breeders have created our own version of this classic using White Widow S1 genetics. Our strain offers a perfect genetic balance of 50% indica and 50% sativa. So it is right in the middle of the spectrum and thus offers the best of both worlds.

White Widow offers good yields and controllable growth

Our feminized White Widow grows about 1m indoors and up to 2m outdoors. She needs loads of light, but can be grown in colder climates such as France, the UK, and the Netherlands. When grown indoors, she can yield 450–500g / m² under a 600W lamp. Outdoors, growers can harvest between 550–600g / plant. Although this cultivar does better in warmer climates, it still delivers excellent results in northern European climates.

White Widow will stop flowering in 8-10 weeks and requires little maintenance. It's the perfect plant for the novice grower. Such properties also make this plant a good choice for SOG and ScrOG surgeries.

She will produce a great central cola if not exercised. While she turns out pretty and impressive, with a little training you will get better results. Prune each plant during the early vegetative phase and use the LST method and defoliation to create an abundance of inflorescences and an open and well-ventilated canopy.
